CHELCO Services Inc.
What can we do for you?
We are writing to express our appreciation to CHELCO Services, Inc for the responsible, professional, sensitive response made
by Underground Constructtion Superintendent Jerry Grace, James Davis, and Hamford Bengston in a situation affecting our
property.
Over a month ago, a major upgrade was made to the electrical infrastructure on Tupelo Street that required tearing up a major
portion of the road. During this process the entire construction team were very sensitive and responsive to residents. Their
efforts resulted in minimal intrusion and insignificant or no damage to landscaping and property.
A singular incident affected our property.
A truck, towing the Ditch Witch, during a back up into the narrow road intersection at Grove and Tupelo, caused damage to a
wire fencing and protective covering for our wild flower garden; this happened only as the tail end of the towed equipment
struggled to clear the Tupelo Circle / Gazebo area safely. Clearly the driver was not aware of the problem as the areas in front
of the direction he was navigating were primary.
Mr. Grace was approached subsequently about this, and he responded in a manner that reflects very well on your organization.
He assesed the situation and gave us assurances that he would oversee restoring the fencing and resolving the situation in a
manner that would be satisfactory to us. He suceeded admirably in this.
He asigned James Davis, who with the assistance of Hamford Bengston, reconstructed with supports, the entire damaged area.
They did an outstanding job.
They were wonderful in their approach to solving the situation and in their concern for CHELCO clients and residents of this part
of Seaside. We are really impressed and grateful and wanted to alert management to this fine example of CHELCO Services
personnel as representatives of the corporation.
The professional conduct and sensitivity in dealing with the public of your organization's representatives reflect well on the
leadership of CHELCO. As long term residents of Walton County, we consider ourselves very fortunate to have a department so
important to daily living and quality of life staffed by such outstanding individuals.
Thank you for the leadership that encourages such public service.
Sincerely,
Drs. Laurie and Joseph Braga

This letter is to commend two of your employees that were working in Lake Sharon Estates, Choctaw Beach, recently cutting
trees from the power lines. I am requesting that you please pass this letter to their supervisor.
On Tuesday, June 22, 2010, my neighbor and I were working to retrieve a stray dog that had been staying under a boat in a
neighbor's yard. This little Jack Russell was very frightened and obviously someone's pet. Your employees, Chris Edwards and
Joey Weeks, were working in the trees nearby. Both stopped and came over to help us. They were very polite, kind and
compassionate and helped take the little dog to my car.
You can train anyone to cut trees, but it takes a very special person to be willing to stop what they are doing in ninety degree heat
to help someone in need. I believe that in America today we have forgotten what it takes to be a "neighbor". To be willing to be
inconvenienced a little to help make someone else's life better, to lend a helping hand, to show kindness.
Your employees are to be commended. No, their act did not change the world, but it did change the world for the elderly lady that
had lost her beloved pet. Through the actions of several people, we were able to find the dog's owner and reunite them. Lily had
dug a hole under the fence and had been missing for several days. The family had searched frantically for her and was delighted
and grateful to get her back home safely.
The actions of Chris and Joey are a positive reflection on C.S.I. They are role models for other employees to emulate.
Sincerely,
Patty Grimes Nixon
